Inception the movie, 2010 22 July , 2010
Yesterday I went to the cinema to watch the new movie “Inception”. I was, to say the least, excited about its release after hearing the fantastic reviews on rottentomatoes.com - (86 %) and imdb.com – (9.3/10).
Usually I find that extreme hype tends to ruin movies, especially when you know what they are about. Knowing it was on the same lines as “The Matrix” or “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” was enough to be interested.
Unfortunately when I got to the cinema it was packed out and I got some shit seats at the front. What a fucking headache!
I’ll fast forward to the end of the movie.
Fantastic directing from Christopher Nolan as always and brilliant visuals (You have to see it to believe it). One of the scenes where there was no gravity was absolutely phenomenal, I noticed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was holding his breath but it really was some outstanding acting and in fact makeup and post-processing.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s acting was flipping brilliant. His latest selection of movies has really shed light on his talent as an actor. Ellen Page also did a cracking job of acting, she was extremely believable, in fact… Inspiring.
Tom Hardy’s character was suited and executed perfectly. He made an eye opening performance, I kid you not, it was extremely natural and as inspirational as Ellen Page’s performance.
The storyline was well constructed but am I surprised, Christopher Nolan has been faultless in most of his movies and he continues to push the boundaries of Filmography.
So to avoid being too criticcy and reviewy, I’ll stop here and say – Inception was a fantastic film and you simply have to see it!
