Deus Ex Human Revolution
4 March , 2011

With the upcoming release of Deus Ex – Human Revolution, I can’t help but think about the feasibility and ideology behind mechanic and nano augmentation. 2027 though? not sure.
The now
I thought I had best start with our current position in the world. What have we already achieved? I started with a few keyword rich searches in Bing (Ooo, not Google… how controversial). The former are not so interesting, yet they start the thinking process:
A few more search results return some more interesting break throughs:
- Prosthetic limbs
- Electronic eye (yes, that’s right, electronic eye!)
- Bio augmentations (mouse with ear on back)
Deus Ex – Human Revolution
Human Revolution – the prequel to Deus Ex has complex mechanical tools/weapons augmented into a human body. Deus Ex has nano augmentation (Just like a big computer packed into a laptop and a laptop packed into a mobile). All these augmentations have connections to each other because they are connected like us to an internet; a data highway if you will. Big Brother?
So why not?
If we already have chemical releasing implants, pacemakers to keep our own hearts continuing even though they are supposedly non-functional, electronic hands that can interface with our muscles and allow amputees to get their independance back and electronic eyes that make some blind people have some visibility again… why not?
Imagine in 10 years time, people are optionally having phones augmented into their body. Think about answering the call and the call inside your head picks up. Use mind control to talk to each other similar to using direct neural interfacing to control objects on a screen like this. Look at a random passer by on the street and, through the internet, face recognition or some identification calls a database and recieves information about that person. Imagine how easy policing would be?

Let’s think harder. Imagine people are forced to have an augmentation that stores up to date readings of alcohol and drug levels or illnesses people have. A database of everyones conditions, thoughts, movements that can be accessed with a search tool like Google. It doesn’t seem complex to me… and it’s a fucking scary thought. I for one wouldn’t let someone implant that kind of shit into me, so there will be politics. Politics will fail, so there will be fights. Fights lead to wars and terrorism. People will be searching for groups and others who have managed to not get implanted. The police, the army, the World are looking for you and your group…
Not so surprising then that Deus Ex – Human Revolution could be real within the next 100 years. I only wish I could be alive to see it happen.
Please leave comments, I’m revved up for some deep discussion.

Is Internet Explorer 9 any good?
21 February , 2011
Internet Explorer 9 is running as fast as Chrome and its Windows 7 integration is very nice. Now we just need a better developer tool and we’re set to go.
I have been using Firefox since god knows when and I’ve been chuffed with it all this time. Only recently have I been thinking of moving on. My reasons are acceptable – Adobe flash crashing constantly, Firefox in its entirety crashing, Performance of the browser was cry worthy… I tried Chrome… There is not enough options.
The latest windows update ushered me into downloading the new IE9 and as a developer, I was intrigued at how my sites would look in it; what new shitty devilry has Microsoft unleashed on their browser?
I am seriously surprised. It’s lightning fast and it’s beautiful!
I am, however, slightly disturbed by the Internet Explorer 9 developer toolbar… Firebug is just so god damn awesome, they’ll find it hard to crack this one on the head… but good start Microsoft, welldone. Give me a better developer toolbar and I will be as happy as… Larry!

Waves are crushing me
10 January , 2011
So it’s waiting and i’m screaming now
It’s calling and I’m wanting, everything
Is shit, to be stuck,
To be lost in a rut.
We’re thinking together and breathing as one, thought
I could be with it day and night,
But I was wrong,
The man is blocking my sun.

New unofficial Tekken forums
2 January , 2011
Hi all,
I was a little ticked off that Tekken official website – tekken.com – did not have any forums, so I have set up a fansite unofficial forum myself.
Hopefully if you’re interested in tekken and their upcoming games, events, competitions and much more, you’ll make a few comments there.

Swahili Blonde. Man Meat
29 November , 2010
I was having trouble finding a cd version of Swahili Blonde – Man Meat so I finally gave up and bought it from Amazon MP3. The following link will take you right to the place you should be (UP YOURS APPLE STORE):
Click here to buy Swahili Blonde – Man Meat
I really love the album. It reminds me of some of the crazy Sublime albums, John Frusciantes earlier stuff like Niandres lades and usually just a t-shirt and some others… I can’t remember their names. These are albums I very much enjoy listening to because they escape a lot of the constraints other artists have gotten themselves into… Including me.
I think John Frusciante’s input is spot on but hands up to the original Swahili Blonde gang for having such a fantastic sound. I like the fact that the album doesn’t get to that serious level that leaves you feeling a bit empty. I also like a break from lyrically driven songs… It’s an all round good album for me.
I can’t really rate music, each to their own and all that… So i’ll just say that this has become my favourite album.
I was going to go over the songs and write some of the stuff I feel when listening… Alas, I don’t feel pressured by the album to specifically think of anything, It really just lets you glide. I’ll tell you if it becomes more bemusing as I listen to it; at the moment It feels clean. Rather than being tainted by the life of the musicians, it is more defined by the music’s abstract nature itself. I love that, I love that a lot.
Thanks Swahili Blonde, great listen… Sounds great on my Bose Mazda 6 MPS speakers too, yippee.

GT5 Review
25 November , 2010
Hi all,
Got home and unpacked my fresh version of GT5. Oh lordy lord.
The smell of the instruction booklet’s fresh print. *shiver runs down spine*. This is it. It’s here. It’s finally FUCKING here.
Installation:
It takes ages to install GT5. 43 minutes on my PS3 classic 40GB. The game needs a fair bit of space. If I remember correctly, it was 8GB and some… which is fine!
Introduction video:
*drools*. So much machinery, I don’t know what to do with myself. The video was very cool. It demonstrates the process of car creation including all the metal making parts which was absolutely fantastic. All in 1080p… yum yum.
The User Interface:
My date and time were wrong so after the initial panic of the fact I could not select any of the menu options because it could not sync, it all seemed pretty good. Slow, but good. It looks beautiful and makes sense. Very nice intuitive layout. I like the idea of the home page, very cool.
The simulator / Game:
*drools*. GT5 has the physics absolutely spot on! I cannot believe how real this game feels. It’s actually scary. Graphics are a bit shit, but the simulator is addictive. The events are plentiful. The game just feels so right. I love it with a passion.
The Multiplayer:
The server list is extremely slow, and my joystick seemed unresponsive whilst the server list loaded. It reminded me of Battlefield Bad Company 2 when it first came out on PC. My connection cut out half way through it updating and GT5 would not respond after it had done so. I had to restart in the end.
Apart from that, the multiplayer itself was very cool. I assume that there will be a lot of work to be done in updating the whole multiplayer feature… It’s all a bit lacking. But don’t worry, you’ll love it nonetheless.
Music
The music is gorgeous, and plentiful. A lot of it is very loungy so it really fits well with the whole driving theme.
Verdict – 4/5
Haha, ver-”dick”-t. Anyway. I love this game. If you like driving, you must get this game. Trust me, it’ll be everything you were looking for and more. It’s my favourite racing game so far.
Oh by the way, it has our car in it: Mazda 6 MPS, first race you participate in:
Here’s some other reviews:
Please take them with salt, they are very focused on it being a game rather than a simulator, thing is. If you love driving, you’ll love this game. I don’t understand why they are attacking it so much. It’s a very big success, its a 3 thumbs up (“Incest in the morning… 97.1″)

Gran Turismo 5 Uk Release Date
15 November , 2010
Gran Turismo 5 Uk Release Date has finally been confirmed for November 24th. With the release date nearing, I can’t help but feel a little twitchy about the upcoming press.
I have to be honest, i’m extremely excited about it all now. I’m trying to get my hands on a nice Logitech G25 racing wheel set but everything is a little pricey at the moment – Goose is getting fat and all that.
Fingers and toes crossed that there is no more delays.
Source provided below:
Guess what, my Mazda 6 MPS is in the game too!

Mountain Dew Uk, back and bigger than ever
19 October , 2010
Mountain Dew was always a childhood favourite of mine. I remember as a family, travelling down to the west coast – Woolacombe – and grabbing a can of Mountain Dew with my brothers whilst my parents set up the tent. Ah those fantastic days, been and gone…
I walked into the garage with my cousin and his friend to get a refreshing beverage after skating and found a bottle of Mountain Dew resting delicately in the fridge. Ah Pepsi, you’ve outdone yourself once again.
It doesn’t taste quite the same as I remember it but it’s still deliciously dangerous and packed full of badness… YUM YUM.
60g of sugar, oh boy I love this drink so much, it’s a mans drink for sure *he says vibrating across the table*.
Anyway, get down to your local store and buy some Mountain Dew, it’s good for you! (James Trusler is not held responsible for any deaths caused by caffeine and sugar contents present in this fantastic drink and any other problems that may arise from the consumption of Mountain Dew).
Enjoy!

Gran Turismo 5 Uk release date delayed again
16 October , 2010
Ok… Gran Turismo 5 Uk release date delayed again. No problems *bites nails*… Delaying the game until Christmas is ok with me *rips child’s head off*… I’ve not been affected in the slightest *vomits on floor and cries like a baby girl*.
There we have it…
Gran Turismo 5 will now be released in UK “before Christmas”…
This is what they say:
“We are sorry to say that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available on the previously announced release date of November 3rd, but the game will be released before Christmas,” a statement read.
“We sincerely apologise to GT fans for the delay, however creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating a racing experience of the highest quality.
“We are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches later this year. We’ll have more information for you in the near future.”
That’s all folks!
James

The Hobbit set was burnt down in New Zealand
4 October , 2010
A little birdie told me that the New Zealand Hobbit set for Peter Jackson’s Prequel to the Lord of the Rings has been burnt down.
There seems to be a little uncertainty as to how the fire started but there is reason to believe that it may have been the Actors Union; Peter Jackon, New Line, Warner Bros and MGMs have had some conflict in the pay that actors get.
Don’t be too worried though, the production of the movie is still happening and filming will be started in 2011 (subject to further delays).
Here’s some source:

I’m pretty damn excited about The Hobbit being made into a movie, I was just recently talking to a friend about how I miss such movies. Yippee…

I got the Mazda 6 MPS… Oh my GOSH
11 September , 2010
I just drove back from the garage with my beautiful new Mazda 6 MPS. Oh boy oh boy was it fast!!! not only that, due to the turbo lag, you get a pretty smooth drive around town if needs be, and on the motorway you can gun it like a boy racer.
Amazingly fun, what a great piece of machinery!
Here is a picture of my new baby:

Rihanna new song “Only Girl” on Radio 1
7 September , 2010
I was listening to Radio 1 today and there was some commotion about Rihannas new song release – Only Girl. I’ve got to be honest, it was very boring to listen to. I’m terribly glad that she changed the pitch of her voice nearing the end of the song because that high pitch stretch she does was grinding my gears.
I also wanted to ask why all songs including “Rihanna – Only Girl” sound so similar. They all have the same synth ideas going on and the same beat structures throughout, it’s tedious, especially listening to Radio 1 that constantly plays this stuff. I’m not saying it’s shit and I’m really glad that people enjoy listening but… That song was very boring… Is that my opinion? I don’t know anymore, I’m starting to think it’s a fact. From a huge celebrity musical talent such as Rihanna, you expect a bit more effort put in.
Unfortunately I can’t find a video for the song yet, but when I do, I’ll put it here.
And here’s a link to the lyrics so you can be amused: http://www.directlyrics.com/rihanna-only-girl-lyrics.html
And here is a little talk about on the new song: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00035185.html

Who is the Stig? It’s Ben Collins
1 September , 2010
After the delayed release of the Stig’s autobiography, it has been made very aware that the Stig is in fact Ben Collins ex-Formula Three driver. I can’t believe it’s finally out.
Does this affect the Top Gear series at all? We all know who he is. It all seems to lose its humour…
Well I guess it’s the end of an era. I only hope that it all blows over for poor old Ben.
There’s a really good article about the whole “Who is the Stig?” thing at BBC News and wikipedia has been updated with the Stig news too.
Comments etc.

Mazda 6 MPS is a hard car to find
1 September , 2010
Now don’t get me wrong, I love my Mazda 6 TS Estate 2.0 but after taking a drive in the Vauxhall Astra VXR (with more poke than a snooker cue) I’m finding it hard to feel settled in it. So it’s time for a new car.
It’s hard to move away from Mazda once you’ve had a Mazda. The 6 series gives the most fantastic drive and even for an estate, the car is pretty fun. It’s got a bit of edge that I really admire. So I thought I’d stick with Mazda, at least this time round.
I’ve been reading up a lot about various different cars and judging how much money I had to spend on my latest fix and came to the conclusion that the Mazda 6 MPS was the best way to go.
I did a search on autotrader.co.uk and found about 8 Mazda 6 MPS on sale, 3 of which were worth looking at. After sending a few emails off, I managed to book a test drive in Ashford, Kent (about a 2 hour drive from where I live) for the following Saturday. Friday approached. I was on edge the whole evening just bursting at the seams with excitement, I knew I was going to be buying it. I Randomly went to check my emails only to find that the car had been sold and would be out of the garage on Saturday… Bugger.
Since that day, all of the Mazda 6 MPS of worth are gone. I’m struggling to pick one up in black and with a Mazda warranty attached.
So there you have it, Mazda 6 MPS is a bloody hard car to get your hands on but when I do possess its power, I will reign hell upon the earth.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

Santander has awful customer service
22 August , 2010
I recently pushed out the boat and decided to go on a holiday. Using Thomas Cook’s crock of shit website, I managed to get to the “pay now” button.
What’s this? Payment declined?
Apparently Abbey don’t like their customers spending over £1000 at any one time so they lock the account… I’m a thief!
Ok fair enough, a little protection on my debit card is probably a good thing, so I decided to ring up Santander, get the card unlocked and proceed with my holiday payment. No big deal!
I dialed the phone number and was greeted by the most amazingly fucking annoying music I have ever heard, like some epic adventure of banking grief. This women is telling me every 30 seconds “we’re very sorry to keep you waiting but we aren’t working hard enough to answer your call because we suck more than a Dyson”.
25 fucking minutes later I cancel the call and re-dial; more enraged than a pot of Naga Chilli.
“The custom service is currently closed, please select from the following options”
Ok, so the custom service counter is closed yet I can choose from options and wait in an infinite loop for noone to fucking answer.
*claps hands*.
Cheers Santander. Thanks for the great holiday you piece of shit.

11 August , 2010
Hi all,
A little birdie told me that Mafia 2 was available for download on Steam.
“Vito has started to make a name for himself on the streets of Empire Bay, someone who can be trusted to get a job done. In this hot leaded playable demo, you and Joe get one of your first serious assignments, to deal with a chump that isn’t playing ball the way the Mob likes it.”
So go download the demo here and tell me what you think of it by posting a comment below!
It looks freaking awesome! I can’t wait…

Tekken vs Street Fighter. W00t
27 July , 2010
Hi all,
I just found out there will be a Tekken vs Street Fighter game. W00t!
As If I wasn’t already excited enough about The old Republic for PC, Street Fighter and Tekken 6 for the PS3. This is going to be amazing…
I thought the best way to hype you all for this pretty gnarly news was to post a few links to some forums and vids that share the same enthusiasm as me for this revolution!
Compliments to Machinimarespawn’s
Compliments to RajmanGamingHD
And a few forums that got me excited:

Skate 3, No Party Play Mode?
25 June , 2010
After the hype of Skate 3 and all of its new features, I naturally ordered a copy as soon as it came out and made plans for a good old gaming session with my friends.

I booted Skate 3 up on the PS3 and enjoyed the cinematic movie. Fantastic and as funny as usual.
The layout of the interface was a little different so I struggled to find the multiplayer options for party play and decided to start a career instead, leaving the party play for when my friends came.
That evening, I was running on caffeine; totally excited about the evening, I decided I’d get the party play mode for Skate 3 prepared.
“Where is it, where is it. Must be here somewhere!”. I read through the instructions… Nothing?
I Googled it.
I cried.
Skate 3 has no party play mode. Why the hell would they have taken one of the greatest elements of Skate 3, out of Skate 3. It makes little to no sense. I demand an explanation from EA themselves for this stupid decision.
We want Skate 3 offline party play mode and we want it now!
Comments etc…
