Inspiring Deity

To the drums of war, my heart beats,
For you, the ends of the world seem so tangible.
I can’t stray from the path, I never hesitate a foot.
I step in for the kill.
Hard headed, we jump over chasms for you,
Long rooting steps on grass that cushions each impression,
In sand I stride with our balance,
Beyond compare.
And it’s all because,
Because of one feeling that initiates these words,
Plays my heart like a harp,
And composes my every form.
Love.
Love in all its wildest forms,
Controls me.
